TRAVEL

From the beach to the mountains, and everywhere we stay in between.

We love coming back to Sunset Beach, but we love discovering somewhere new, too. Give us a beach or a mountain, a small town to wander or a train to somewhere we've never been, and we're happy.

Travel has always been a big part of our family life. And if you love the slower pace of Sunset Beach but sometimes find yourself craving mountains, old cities or a completely different kind of adventure, these are places I'd point you toward.

The things that only make sense once you're there.

I’m the planner in our family, which means I spend a lot of time researching where to stay, how to get around and what’s actually worth our time. And still, some things only make sense once you’re there.

After our trips, I turn what I’ve learned into travel guides — combining our actual itineraries with custom maps, orientation, transportation, alternate options and the practical details I wish I’d understood before we went.

The goal is simple: help you understand a place better, plan a trip that works for you and spend less of your own vacation figuring it out.

Not every trip becomes a guide. I only make one when I think what I’ve learned can genuinely make someone else’s trip easier — and when I’ve researched enough beyond our own itinerary to help you shape a trip that works for you.

THE ESSENTIAL GUIDE

Getting there is part of the trip.

We love traveling through Europe by train, but figuring it all out the first time can be surprisingly confusing — booking windows, seat reservations, connections, luggage and even knowing which train you're supposed to be on.

I pulled what we've learned into one visual guide designed to make first-time European train travel easier to understand before you go.

Where to next?

We’ll keep going, keep figuring things out as we go, and I’ll keep sharing the places where what I’ve learned might make your trip a little easier.
