-
Check-in is 4:00 PM and check-out is 10:00 AM at both El Sol and Sol Mar.
Because the properties need to be cleaned and prepared between guests, early check-in and late check-out aren’t guaranteed. Contact Sloane Realty Vacations to see if an exception is available for your stay.
-
Yes, when both are available. The properties are just four streets apart, making them a great option for extended families or two families traveling together. Everyone can share beach days, meals and time together while still having a little extra space.
-
Cancellation policies are established by Sloane Realty Vacations and are included with your rental agreement. We recommend reviewing the current terms when booking.

Sol Mar: Yes. Beds are made with fresh linens before you arrive, and bath towels and beach towels are provided.
-
Both properties have a collection of beach gear for guests to use, including a beach wagon, 2-3 beach chairs, sand toys, an umbrella and boogie boards. Other beach items may also be available, but inventory can change throughout the season, so we can’t guarantee specific additional gear.
Please bring everything back from the beach and return it where you found it so it’s ready for the next guests.

What’s Provided
-
Both El Sol and Sol Mar have fully stocked kitchens designed for cooking during your stay, with cookware, dishes, glassware, small appliances and everyday kitchen essentials.
We aim to keep basic pantry staples on hand — oil, spices, coffee filters, foil, plastic wrap, and food storage containers — but since we're not on-site full time, stock can run low between visits. We'd suggest grabbing a few backups on your way in, just in case.
For the full list of what’s provided, see the Amenities section on the El Sol or Sol Mar property page.
-
Both properties include a starter supply of household essentials to make arrival easier: one roll of paper towels, a starter roll of toilet paper in each bathroom, a small dish soap, sponge and dishwasher pod, and a fresh trash bag already in each bin.
For longer stays, plan to purchase or bring additional paper products, cleaning supplies and other consumables as needed.
-
Yes. Each property has its own Stay with Sol welcome guide with information about the home, beach access and our local Sunset Beach favorites — along with a small welcome basket waiting for you at arrival.
-
Yes. Both properties include on-site parking.
El Sol: Parking is available for up to three vehicles. Two vehicles can park without blocking one another, with space for a third vehicle parked behind them.
Sol Mar: Parking is available for two vehicles in the designated “A” spaces. Please use only these spaces so the other designated spaces remain available for neighboring condo owners and guests.
-
El Sol: Yes. Guests may bring or rent a golf cart during their stay. There is an outlet under the carport for charging.
Sol Mar: No. Golf carts are not permitted at Sol Mar per HOA.
-
Both properties have high-speed internet plans — 500 Mbps at El Sol and 1 Gbps at Sol Mar — with bandwidth for video calls, streaming, and multiple devices at once. As with any vacation rental, we can’t guarantee uninterrupted service, so if you’re planning to work remotely, it’s always a good idea to have a backup like a mobile hotspot just in case.
-
Both El Sol and Sol Mar have two TVs with Roku. Roku is set up in Guest Mode, so you can sign in to your own streaming services and select your checkout date. Roku will automatically sign you out at the end of your stay.
Don’t have streaming subscriptions? Roku also offers limited free channels and programming you can watch during your stay.
-
Both are under a 10-minute walk, depending on your pace. From El Sol, walk straight down 32nd Street and cross onto the beach across the dunes. From Sol Mar, walk down 27th Street and either take a left to the beach access next to the pier, or take a right toward the 28th Street beach access — usually a bit less crowded.
Both properties include a beach wagon to help haul chairs, towels and gear down to the sand.
Around the Property
-
Both El Sol and Sol Mar have weekly garbage pickup on Wednesdays. Recycling is collected every other Wednesday, with Saturday recycling pickup during the summer season.
Please roll garbage and recycling bins to the curb the night before pickup, as collection happens early in the morning, and return the bins to the property after collection.
-
Both El Sol and Sol Mar are elevated on stilts and require stairs to enter. Neither property has an elevator or is wheelchair accessible.
El Sol: One flight of stairs (interior and exterior) leads to the main living level, where you’ll find the king bedroom and a full bathroom with walk-in shower, along with the kitchen and main living spaces. An interior staircase leads upstairs to the queen bedroom, bunk room and second full bathroom.
Sol Mar: The condo is on the first residential level, reached by one flight of outdoor stairs. Once inside, the living space, both bedrooms and both bathrooms are all on one level.
-
Both properties are professionally managed by Sloane Realty Vacations, whose local team is your point of contact for property or maintenance issues during your stay. Contact information is provided with your reservation and in the property.
-
No. Neither property has a pool or hot tub. The ocean is a short stroll away.
-
El Sol: Yes. El Sol is dog-friendly. Current pet fees and requirements are provided when booking through Sloane Realty Vacations.
Sol Mar: No. Pets are not permitted at Sol Mar, per HOA rules.
-
El Sol has a front porch with a bed swing, screened deck overlooking the tidal marsh, outdoor shower, private boardwalk and dock. Under the house, there’s also a picnic table, and a stationary charcoal grill is available in the yard.
Sol Mar has a private screened porch, a shared outdoor shower, and a dedicated outdoor storage closet with the beach gear and two adult bikes. Grilling is not permitted at Sol Mar.
-
El Sol’s private dock is a great spot to fish, crab, launch a kayak or simply enjoy the tidal marsh and sunset. Guests often fish from the dock, and crabbing can be as simple as baiting a line with a chicken leg or using a recreational crab pot.
North Carolina fishing and crabbing regulations apply. A Coastal Recreational Fishing License is generally required to fish in coastal waters, including from a private dock. We recommend checking current NC Wildlife regulations for licenses, limits and other requirements before fishing or crabbing.
-
Yes. Guests can launch a kayak directly from El Sol’s private dock when tide conditions allow. Kayaks are not provided, but they can be rented locally from Julie’s Rentals or other area rental companies.
Because El Sol sits on a tidal marsh, check the tide before heading out. We often have a local tide chart on the refrigerator courtesy of Bill’s Seafood, and there’s also a tide clock in the kitchen that makes it easy to see whether the tide is coming in or going out.
Good to Know
-
El Sol sits directly on a tidal marsh, so the water level around the dock changes significantly throughout the day. Higher tide is generally best for launching a kayak and exploring the marsh, while at low tide much of the marsh can become exposed and water access may be limited.
You’ll find a tide clock in the kitchen, and we often have a current local tide chart on the refrigerator courtesy of Bill’s Seafood.
-
No. El Sol’s dock is not suitable for boats. The dock sits on a tidal marsh where water levels change significantly throughout the day, and a boat tied to the floating dock could run aground as the tide goes out.
The dock is best enjoyed for fishing, crabbing and launching kayaks when tide conditions allow.
-
Sol Mar’s outdoor shower is shared with the small condo community rather than private to the unit. It’s available for rinsing off after the beach before heading upstairs.
-
Sol Mar is part of a small condo community, not a high-rise or resort complex. You’ll have your own two-bedroom, two-bath condo, private screened porch and two designated parking spaces.
Some outdoor areas, including the outdoor shower, are shared with neighboring owners and guests. We ask guests to be considerate of neighbors and follow the condo association rules provided for their stay.
